Evaluation is about learning from experience. Over the past fifteen years, Phyllida has worked with organisations of different types and sizes on the evaluation of their projects and programmes. The most informative and useful evaluations are collaborative processes in which the purpose of the evaluation and the methods to be used to collect, analyse and interpret information are agreed by the various participants (organisers, beneficiaries and perhaps observers). Phyllida is leading on the evaluation of multi-year projects at two National Trust properties and with Awards for Young Musicians, to record the impact of its Furthering Talent scheme on the young musicians currently taking part. She is evaluation advisor to With One Voice, the International Arts and Homelessness Movement, currently being incubated by Streetwise Opera. In 2016, she was evaluator of the HLF-funded Capability Brown Festival.
